Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals have warned the public not to visit A&E unless it is an emergency in the wake of a fortnight of unprecedented levels of activity.

An incident involving a man who fell to his death at a boat yard is being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive.

The man fell to his death on October 15 this year at Ditton Marine Services Ltd in Portsmouth Road, Thames Ditton, but died five days later in Kingston hospital.
