Walton North's new beat bobby has come up with an innovative way to get teenagers off the streets - by teaching them how to make music.

PC Melanie Sefton has spent the last month taking six 14-15 year olds to Molesey Youth Centre, in Ray Road, West Molesey, where the teenagers have been using a £45,000 recording studio to make a song.

Officers from the Walton Central Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) visited Ashley Primary School in Walton-on-Thames last week and gave pupils the chance to help keep their bikes secure.
