Months of nerves were met with screams of joy at Rydens school on Thursday (27) as students finally got to open their GCSE results.
The school, in Hersham Road, Hersham, saw students open their results after months nail biting in anticipation for this day.
Jess Gray, 16, of Rydens Road, Walton got four A*'s and seven A's, meaning she received the highest grades in the school.
She said: "It is a relief. I have been fine most of the summer, but I felt sick this morning."
THE WALTON and Oatlands choral society is looking for new members in preparation for its winter season.
The society will start rehearsals on Tuesday, September 8 in the Methodist Hall, in Terrace Road, Walton at 8pm.
The choir welcomes new members of all ages and all abilities in preparation for its Christmas concert which will take place on Sunday, December 20.

Surrey Police sent a file of evidence against serial killer Levi Bellfield to the Crown Prosecution Service on Wednesday (26) in relation to Milly Dowler.
Now the CPS will examine the file to see if there is enough evidence to charge Bellfield with the murder of the Walton teenager.
The news that officers were collating evidence against the notorious hammer murderer emerged last Wednesday (August 19) when police confirmed they were looking to charge him with Milly's murder.
The first birthday celebrations of the Princess Alice Hospice shop, in Walton were made even more special by the fact that they were held in its new location.

Three 15 year old boys who were arrested on suspicion of arson after an unprovoked petrol bomb attack on a home in Walton have been re bailed until Tuesday, October 20.
Three juveniles were arrested after a home made made petrol bomb was thrown at a house in Highfield Road, in the early hours of Sunday, July 12.
They were arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and were released on bail until Wednesday, August 12.
One former Rydens student is holding a charity event in which people will find themselves swimming the distance of the English channel.
Siobhan Willox, 23, is putting on the two hour event at the Xcel leisure centre, in Waterside Drive, in Walton to not only raise money for Cancer Research UK but to help people overcome their own personal challenges.
Setting the challenge of swimming the 200 mile distance either as part of a team or as an individual, Siobhan is hoping people taking part will feel a sense of achievement by doing so.
An exhibition is being held of Walton artist Francis Truesdale at the Riverhouse barn, in Walton, from Tuesday, September 8.
Held at the Robert Phillips gallery in the arts centre, in Manor Road, Walton, the exhibition will be on until Sunday, September 20.
Admission is free and the gallery is open from 11am to 4pm, Wednesdays to Saturdays and 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Sundays.
Francis is an artist with learning difficulties, who uses his art as a way of making sense of the world around him.
