Cannabis-plant-2.jpgA Walton man has been cautioned for cultivating cannabis with a street value of more than £200 in his home after police were tipped-off.

One large cannabis plant and 34 smaller ones were taken from a home in Shaw Drive, Walton, on Saturday October 11 between 3.30pm and 5pm.

North Walton beat bobby PC Melanie Sefton, and colleagues, seized the plants within 30 minutes of learning of the tip-off.

PC Sefton said: "We took quick and positive steps to deal with this matter and our proactive response has led to the seizure of drugs and one male receiving a caution.

"This was a very pleasing result, both for myself and the rest of the team."

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene and later received a police caution for the production of Class C drugs.
