mark.jpgNow that Autumn is on its way, I have noticed the people of Elmbridge are donning warmer clothing and walking about with sadder expressions.

Apart from the steady loss in the length of daylight hours, I always think this time of year is very beautiful, and a good time to stock up on excess food like our mammalian cousins do.

david-griffin-1-17.jpgIt's that time of year again when poppys go on-sale and this year volunteers are needed to help with collections in Walton.

The national and Surrey launch of the 2008 Poppy Appeal takes place in October 25 and will last until November 8.
